Our understanding of genetics has a short history of no more than half century. Today, gene sequencing technologies have improved exponentially driving costs down - you can get your genes sequenced for 1000 dollars. In this project the central goal is related to the term “refactored perception”. The idea is that with all these technologies that ask us to live our lives differently, we basically have to change our mental model and our perception in order to understand what is happening around us, especially with something like gene sequencing to gene therapy that we typically don’t interact with in our daily life.
Our Genetic Wellness Center, is to create an institute that is dedicated to human wellness on top of research in order to facilitate psychological, intellectual and bodily health. The GWC provides residential support and information facilities for people willing to interact with genetic science, prepare to take gene sequencing or gene therapy and rehabilitation after therapy. The building will offer its users a ritualistic journey that ranges from a calm friendly spaces to futuristic data center where each individual can decide what strategy they want to adopt to support their medical treatment and their overall welfare.
